Is client messaging two-way?

No. Pawfectly Booked sends one-to-one outbound messages but does not provide an in-app chat or reply inbox. Client replies are not added to the message history. Email replies go to the salon's email address when configured.

Can I write a completely custom message?

Yes. Choose Custom message and write your own email or SMS, or edit any supplied template before sending.

Which messages are included?

Accepted Answer

Templates cover a pet being ready for collection, a delay, an appointment change, a deposit request, a grooming issue, a matted coat and a late collection.

Are these automated appointment reminders?

Accepted Answer

No. One-to-one client messages are manually composed and sent. Automated reminders are configured separately and scheduled around appointments.

Question 5

Do marketing opt-outs block service messages?

Accepted Answer

No. Marketing permissions are separate. Service messages follow the email or SMS service communication setting on the client's record.

How are messages charged?

Accepted Answer

Email costs 0.25 Marketing Credits per message. SMS costs 1 credit per segment; longer or special-character messages may use additional segments. Credits are charged after provider acceptance.
