Dog Grooming Marketing Campaigns vs Automated Rebooking Reminders

Pawfectly Booked provides two separate ways to bring dog grooming clients back: manual marketing campaigns for a chosen audience, and subscriber-access Reminder to Book In for automated, pet-specific rebooking.

Manual marketing campaigns and automated rebooking are different

Use a manual campaign when you have a message or promotion to send. Examples include announcing a summer offer, filling a last-minute cancellation slot, introducing a new add-on or contacting clients who have not booked recently. You choose the audience, template and send wave.

Use Reminder to Book In when you want the system to watch each pet's usual grooming interval. For example, if Bella normally returns every six weeks and has no suitable future appointment, the system can prompt her owner when she is due or overdue. This workflow uses the pet's completed groom history and saved frequency; it is not a manual campaign.

How Reminder to Book In works

Reminder to Book In checks each active pet's latest completed groom and saved grooming frequency. It identifies pets that are due or overdue, prioritises the most overdue and skips pets that already have a suitable future appointment. Marketing permission, contact details, cooling-off rules, available credits and safety limits are checked before sending.

Manual dog grooming marketing campaigns

Paid Standard and Gold salons can create reusable email or SMS templates, choose a time-since-last-appointment audience, preview recipients and exclusions, review the final credit cost and send controlled waves. This is the right tool for a promotion, announcement or last-minute availability message that you choose to send.

Automated dog grooming rebooking reminders

Active Standard and Gold subscriptions can also use automated Reminder to Book In, including an optional one-time follow-up around 14 days later. This is the right tool for pet-specific rebooking based on a dog's saved grooming frequency. It has separate templates, stages and controls from manual campaigns, even though both use Marketing Credits.

Marketing without disrupting appointment messages

Email and SMS marketing permissions are separate. Unknown or opted-out contacts are excluded. Marketing opt-outs never disable appointment confirmations, reminders, changes, cancellations or consent messages, and those service messages never consume Marketing Credits.

SMS marketing for dog groomers: Marketing Credit costs and example ROI

Illustrative example: if a salon buys 250 credits for £30, sends one SMS segment to 100 opted-in clients and two clients book a £55 groom, that is £110 booked revenue against £30 spent on credits, with 150 credits left. Results vary.
